TGIF: Book Blogger Influences

Happy Friday Everyone!

TGIF at GReads is a meme hosted by Ginger from Greads. The object of the meme is to every Friday answer a question she proposes and to re-cap the week’s posts.

Q.

Book Blogger Influences: Has there been a particular book blogger who’s influenced what you read? Share with us a review/book blog that convinced you to pick up a certain book.

Well, this is a hard question to answer since I follow so many bloggers and am influenced by so many of them it’s hard to pick just one, but I will say which is the book blogger that got me into actually reviewing books and whose recommendations I follow like a religion:

Thanks to Cari’s recommendations I discovered The Mortal Instruments and House of Night series as well as the always funny Jen Lancaster books. We don’t have the exact same taste in books, but Cari has managed to get me interested in genres I didn’t think I liked. She’s been an inspiration and my go-to person when I’m freaking out about something book-blogger related. It’s been through her generous advice that I’ve embarked on this journey.

Cari, if you’re reading this, “Thanks Chica!!”

Book Reviews: This week I reviewed The Girl In The Park by Mariah Fredericks and The Book of Blood and Shadow by Robin Wasserman.
Waiting on Wednesday: My waiting-on pick this week is The Selection by Kiera Cass.
Top Ten Tuesday: This week I shared my top ten tips for new bloggers.
In My Mailbox: I received books I’ve been pining for such as Once by Anna Carey (the sequel to Eve), Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard and a book signed by Kailin Gow *squee!!*

Thanks for visiting JJiReads and commenting. I just recently uninstalled the IntenseDebate commenting system since it was causing problems with the blog's load time. Any comments previously made using that platform will not be visible but are definitely not gone. Comments made as entries to giveaways will be counted whether they were made in either IntenseDebate or the Blogger commenting system.
